Hi Atul,I took the academic exam yesterday. The question for the writing part 2 goes like:
Air traffic is leading to more noise, pollution and airport construction. One reason for this is the growth in low-cost passenger flights. Some people say that government should try to reduce air traffic by taxing it more heavily. Do you agree or disagree?
My intro has this idea:
There is an ever-increasing number of airlines offering inexpensive flights to tourist destinations. Consequently, residents of these destinations are, more than ever before, inconvenienced by the noise and pollution brought about by the traffic. A number of people argue that the government should impose more taxes on these flights. I agree that the government should impose higher taxes, although not for the purpose of reducing traffic, but to encourage tourism by using these increased tax collection in improving the facilities and its surroundings.
Did I answer the question? Or did I deviate too much and thus failed the part 2? your advice is very much appreciated. I feel sick thinking about how complicated my answer was.
