Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to bring to your attention a disturbing news that I would like you to publish in your newspaper ‘Qusais Times’. I have heard of plans to erect a new apartment complex on the site of ‘Qusais Park’ from several sources. Firstly, I saw civil engineers taking various measurements inside the park; in addition, the park’s staff members mentioned of this plan when they were queried by me.

The park is of utmost importance to our local community as people go there to play various sports such as soccer, tennis, and basketball. Also, families use it for social activities during the weekends. Therefore, closing the park will affect the local residents as there is no other park within 10 km. distance.

I would like you to publish an article about the drawbacks of this action and express the local community’s great disapproval of the plan. I have also collected signatures of most of the residents who are against this project.
